A senior judge has called for a top-level inquiry into “very worrying” police inaction that allowed a convicted rapist to work as an English teacher.

Mark Bradshaw, who previously had been jailed for a total of 11 years for two brutal sex attacks, used a CV listing bogus qualifications to gain a job last year teaching foreign students at the London Skills Institute in Kentish Town, north London.

Judge Colin Smith jailed him for eight months for deception.
