Bedford College is launching a scheme to develop a partnership with local business to ensure its education and training will be relevant and up to date. The college is inviting 150 people from local firms to become consultants for two years to offer advice, provide feedback on impressions of the college and join a reference group to review work relevant to their own interests.
In return, the college will give them a certificate in recognition of their consultancy role, a directory to enable them to form local networks, access to academic and training programmes at preferential rates - and invitations to business lunches and college events.
