A grammar school has been given a grant of pound;30,000 to encourage pupils at nearby comprehensives to stay in education.
The money, donated by the Sutton Trust education charity, is to pay for extra-curricular workshops by Bexley Grammar School for pupils from nearby Hurstmere, St Thomas More and Westwood schools in Kent.
Year 13 pupils at Bexley will run a series of workshops and taster sessions over the next two years about the benefits of continuing to study and going to university.
