Irish republic relaxes rules

Northern Ireland teachers may soon find it easier to work in the Irish republic. The Dublin government is to help them pass the Irish (Gaelic) language exam needed to take up posts, giving them a textbook tailored to the content of the exam as well as free tuition. The five-year deadline for passing the exam may also be extended.
