ISRAEL: How to behave at the table, to wait patiently in line, to stand up for the pregnant lady on the bus, and to use those two little words “please” and “thank you”, will be part of a new course on interpersonal communication starting for Israeli 12-year-olds this September. The course - part of education minister Limor Livnat’s programme to strengthen values in the curriculum - will comprise three elements: politeness and norms of behaviour, the culture of debate, and conflict resolution.
