PARENTS should use computers with their children to maximise the educational benefits, according to a new guide. The booklet from the Parents Information Network aims to tell parents how computers are being used in primary schools. It also tackles the national curriculum requirements for information technology and gives advice on how to support children’s learning.
‘Computers in Primary Education’ is available free on 0891 633 644 (calls cost 50p or less) (or e-mail post@pin-parents.com). Schools can obtain multiple copies for the cost of postage and packing only.
