It is not ‘neocolonialist’ to nurture these mutually useful links

I understand that the interviews from which these comments were extracted were with Year 2 pupils. I suspect that the same and older children, as well as their parents, could make equally limited, possibly media-fuelled comments about people in a neighbouring school, or the inhabitants of a nearby town, let alone a community overseas.
