Modern studies will survive the curriculum review, we can exclusively reveal.

Our source is none other than Deputy Education Minister Robert Brown, who was very much on the record about it. He told MSPs in their recent debate on Ambitious, Excellent Schools: “I share a commitment to the future of modern studies in our schools . . . It is important and is a separate discipline from history. There is no suggestion of amalgamating the subjects.”
