My review of Extending Literacy (TES, March 21) may have unintentionally given offence to Ratty and friends (The Wind in the Willows). An error, probably a computer one , attributed a quotation to Mr Toad. the quotation was in fact from Professor C E M Joad, original Brains Trust member, wireless guru and all-round genius. It should of course have read, “Poop! Poop!”.
