I am currently preparing mat-erial for Scots at School 1750-2000, to be published by Edinburgh University Press next May. I wish to use an extract from a chapter which appeared in the collection Scottish Education Looks Ahead, published in 1969.
The chapter is entitled “Primary Schools” and is by Joan Low who was then supervisor of primary schools in Edinburgh. I should be grateful for any information on the author’s current whereabouts, or other appropriate contact to whom I may apply for permission to reproduce the chapter.
