Teachers have voted to strike in support of a colleague who was refused a job-share after having a baby. The 26 members of the National Union of Teachers at Norlington School for Boys in Leyton, north-east London, voted unanimously to strike next Tuesday. A further two days of strikes will take place if an agreement cannot be reached, the union said. Rinaldo Frezzato, Waltham Forest NUT branch secretary, said a meeting had been organised to explain the situation to parents.
