The Qualifications and Curriculum Authority has organised a two-day conference on January 22-23 at the Olympia Hilton Hotel, London W14, to explore the character, place and future contributions of geography and history in the 14-19 curriculum. Dr Nick Tate, QCA chief executive, will join representatives from associations representing both subjects, including the Geographical Association and the Historical Association, to consider the nature of the two disciplines and discuss curriculum strategies.
