The preparing for independence course is part of the foundation studies offer at New College DurhamColin Galley, a lecturer at the college, said: "We got involved with colleges week to help showcase the skills and talents of our learners in the work we do with them as part of their study programme.

"With developing their independence and employability skills, getting involved in this project has given the students the opportunity to show why they enjoy coming to college and their creative side in making mocktails for college’s week. The students think it is amazing that their ideas and creations are going to be used across the AoC and for other people to try their mocktails.”
