Thanks for printing my letter (FE Focus, March 10) under the above banner.
While I recognise that some of the changes you made did polish the text a little, I was disappointed with two changes that materially affected the substance of the message.
In the first paragraph, “national learning entitlement” (almost a quote from Ruth Silver’s article) was rendered as “national clearing entitlement”
and, more bizarrely, “a genuine evidence-based evaluation of local delivery” became “a genuine evidence-based evaluation of local history.”
