Take the family to the National Gallery in London during Jubilee week to track down monsters and create a golden beast, explore sparkly paintings and, on June 8 and 9, meet sculptor Felicity Powell and her sidekick, bedazzled King Belshazzar. * Make a royal crown at London’s Transport Museum between June 1 and 5, create a royal collage or design a glittery taxi to match the golden ones in London streets this week. Information: www.ltmuseum.co.uk.

* Join the Royal Jubilee Treasure Hunt at Brodsworth Hall and Gardens near Doncaster on June 3 and 4. Information: 01302 722598.

* Experience the lavish life of the royal court in Royal Progress. On June 2 and 3 Queen Elizabeth 1 will be at Kenilworth Castle in Warwickshire; Charles II will be at Audley End House in Essex on July 13 and 14; and Richard III will be at Middleham Castle in Yorkshire on August 3 and 4.
