A HIGH Court judge has upheld a school’s decision to educate a pupil in a room on his own when staff refused to teach him because of his alleged involvement in a violent assault on another boy. The father of the 16-year-old boy accused the Hertfordshire school of iving in to “blackmail” by the teachers, who warned they would walk out of any class, or playground, if the boy was present. But Mr Justice Henriques ruled that the school was entitled to act as it did to avoid disruption to pupils preparing for GCSEs.
