THEREis still time for students of Italian to brush up their skills by taking the British Institute of Florence’s A-level overview course from April 14-18, 2003.

The course offers 20 hours’ tuition (four hours a day) and covers areas needed for A-level including current affairs, listening, guided conversation, and composition with grammatical analysis.

Students can experience all aspects of Italian life and culture in the heart of Florence. Teachers are fully qualified, mother-tongue Italian speakers. The Institute provides student support and help with accommodation. BIF is also offering a one year A-level course in the history of art starting this September with a chance to combine it with an A-level in Italian.

The history of art course includes the history, religion and politics of any period, giving students an insight into an historical culture while learning methods of research and how to interpret different sources of historical evidence.

A-level students can later follow a degree course in any arts discipline.
