Thank you for publishing the wonderfully evocative “evacuee day” photograph across your centre pages (October 1). The Evacuation Experience days are a joint project between Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway and Cheltenham Art Gallery amp; Museum. Education staff from the museum run a workshop, in role, at Winchcombe Station with authentic objects from the era for children to handle.

Sandra Ashenford, Education amp; outreach officer, Cheltenham Art Gallery amp; Museum.
