An 11-year-old London schoolgirl has made her international singing debut in the opening credits of the film Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.

Kemi Omoniyi, a Year 7 pupil at Waverley school, in south London, was asked to provide the voice of a dolphin in the opening sequence by the composer of the soundtrack, who lives in her street. Kemi said: “I never thought I’d be in an actual film that’s in Peckham cinema. Last year, I said I wanted to be a singer when I’m older. Now I’m in Year 7, it’s already happening.”

The exhibition runs from May 28 to November 27. Tickets: (020) 7942 4777 or edbookings@nmsi.ac.uk
