KENYA: The British Council has signed a four-year Pounds 16.8m contract with the Overseas Development Agency to regenerate primary education. The project, Strengthening of Primary Education, is designed to improve enrolment, retention and completion rates, particularly among girls from poorer communities. One of the largest ODA education projects, it aims to improve school-based teacher training, community links and management.
