Chloe: You need to take care for your kids and make them food.

Aiden: And keep them healthy, get them to get into sports, because you don’t want them to become unhealthy.

Olivia: If your child wants to do something, you want to encourage them ... to do the right thing.

Chloe: When my sister had a baby, my mum knew lots of things, because she’d already had me and my brother. So she just gave advice.

Paisley: I think what would make someone a bad parent would be lying in their bed, not doing anything.

Chloe: Drinking.

Aiden: Or if they don’t want you to be into sports or anything.

Olivia: I think the most important thing is that they care.

Aiden: I think you should be 20 before you have kids.

Andrew: Yeah, 18 or over.

Paisley: On the news there was someone who was 13 who had a baby. You should be at least 18.

Olivia: You’d be mature.

Paisley: And maybe when you’re younger it may be a bit more painful.

Chloe: You would be ready if you were older. You would have been able to plan.

Aiden: ‘Cos you’re 18, you go through changes, like your voice drops.

Andrew: I know what you’re thinking.

Paisley: And you get, like, a beard.

Olivia: Let’s leave it at that.

Andrew: A good parent is someone who if you’ve seen something, they said, “Yeah, you can have it.” But if it’s just a one-off.

Paisley: It’s important it’s a one-off. It makes things more exciting. Arguing with your parents just happens. Sometimes, it can be a good thing.

Andrew: I argue with my dad.

Aiden: It depends, because if you didn’t argue with your mum and dad, you wouldn’t get told, you wouldn’t know what not to say.

Andrew: You wouldn’t know the other side of your life. It just wouldn’t be right.

Olivia: I’d rather they told me if I did something wrong.

Aiden: The bad way to tell you would just be to shout at you instead of getting down and talking about it.

Olivia: A lot of people fall out with their parents for being selfish because you don’t get anything.

Paisley: I just say to my sister to be grateful for what she’s got. I couldn’t not speak to my parents. I always speak to my mum, like what happens at school and stuff like that. Exciting stuff.

Aiden: If you didn’t speak to your parents, it would actually be pretty lonely. It would be like you didn’t exist any more.
