(Photograph) - Pupils at Senacre Wood primary school in Maidstone, Kent, were the first in the country to take part in the Cool Seas Roadshow organised by the Marine Conservation Trust this week, writes Jenny Legg. They were shown life-size models of minky whales and bottlenose dolphins and took part in workshops explaining their endangered habitats. Kieron Whissen, nine, said: ‘It was good fun seeing all the animals. I didn’t realise you could find them along our coastline. I liked the whale best because it was the biggest, but the great white shark was cool too.’ Educational resources are available for schools, including a poster and curriculum-linked lesson plans.
