After 35 years’ absence, pupils will once again be able to view the stunning contents of Tutankhamun’s tomb on British soil.

In 1972, people queued for hours to see the treasures of the 19-year-old Egyptian pharaoh when they were exhibited at the British Museum, attracting 1.6 million visitors.

Now an even bigger exhibition is coming to London. More than 131 artefacts from the tomb of the king, who ruled from 1333-1324BC, his ancestors and other royal graves will be on show at O2, formerly the Millennium Dome, from November 25.
