GOVERNMENT is cool. Well, that is the message the Cabinet Office hopes to convey to young people on a new website.
The site, developed in consultation with 700 teenagers, provides a range of information on issues such as bullying and the dangers of under-age drinking, as well as an A-Z of politics.
Douglas Alexander, minister for e-transformation, said the Government was determined to get young people involved in the democratic process at an early stage. He is leading the drive to get the UK online, with everyone who wants it having access to the internet, and to make all government services available electronically by 2005.
