HUNDREDS of vulnerable children have been deprived of care and protection they need because of a London council’s inefficient, and inconsistent work practices, a damning report from the Social Sevices Inspectorate says. The inspectorate was ordered to investigate childcare services in Lambeth following concerns that led to the authority being put in special measures last year.
