Lancashire pupils choose their Book of the Year

Meanwhile, pupils from 12 Lancashire secondary schools have been choosing their Book of the Year in an annual award organised by county libraries. They have ettled on two hard-hitting teenage novels - Bloodtide by Melvin Burgess (Penguin) and Plague by Malcolm Rose (Scholastic).
