SCILT, Scotland’s national centre for languages, has created an online resource targeted at the Scottish languages baccalaureate.
Its Bac-Chat wiki is a space where pupils working on their interdisciplinary project can share news about their progress or ask others for advice if they hit a problem.
There is also a dedicated chatroom where teachers can arrange to “meet” at a given time and chat online, and a reference material section where teachers can share resources to support a particular project.
It also offers a link to the CILT “Languages Work” pages and other links to case studies of Scottish-based companies who have found it beneficial to employ people with language skills.
