A total of 10 schools receive special commendations in The Schools Prospectus Award organised by The TES, in association with The Document Company Xerox.
Of these, three have been chosen to receive first prizes of new digital photo-copiers.
In making the awards, judges were not looking for prospectuses that were glossy or expensively-produced but those which:
met the legal requirements, told parents what they needed to know
gave a clear sense of what the school stood for
showed cost-effective planning and production
were laid out in a clear, concise and attractive style
used plain English
Entries were received from 520 schools. Schools recognised for the award receive a certificate and are entitled tocarry The TES Award logo on their prospectus next year to indicate to parents that its high standard has been nationally recognised.
