THERE’S been a leak at the DFEE. It’s very serious, and officials are looking into it. It’s come to the attention of Estelle Morris herself. Indeed, it made her late for a reception in Westminster on Tuesday. It’s the fountain in Sanctuary Buildings which sent water cascading all over the foyer. Ms Morris had to wade thrugh.
Sadly, there were no gallant gents to carry her across. “And if Chris Woodhead had laid his cloak down, I’d have side-stepped it,” she said.
One thing though, she added: “I’m certain the leak didn’t emanate from the press office.” Hard-pressed TES hacks sigh: they never do, minister.
