St John’s Academy in Perth is launching a digital art exhibition called Hooks + Bites at Perth Concert Hall today. It is the first of ten Co-Create projects funded by Learning and Teaching Scotland and the Scottish Arts Council, which are designed to encourage innovative use of the national schools intranet Glow. It was developed with Horsecross Arts, Perth and Kinross Council and Plan B Collective, who delivered workshops at the school. All the projects will aim to “demonstrate how practising artists and arts organisations can bring learning to life in schools,” says Julia Fenby, of LTS. A “How to” guide will follow, which will provide what she calls “a useable legacy” for schools across Scotland “in line with Curriculum for Excellence”.
