I am afraid your leader (TESS, November 15) is quite wrong. Unless “argue” can mean “assert”, Tom Schuller in his Commentary does not “argue” the case for individuals taking more “responsibility for their own learning”. He asserts this. Please encourage him to argue the case and tell us how this is to be brought about.
