LECTURERS have voted in favour of a one-day strike over pay to take place in further education colleges nationwide on May 22.

There was a 50 per cent turn-out in the ballot staged by lecturers’ union NATFHE, with 6 per cent of those who voted supporting a strike and 86 per cent in favour of action short of a strike.

A decision about further industrial action will be made at NATFHE’s conference, starting on May 26.
