Let’s salute our precious leaders

I am writing to ensure credit it is due regarding the interview with Manny Amadi (TES Magazine, February 12).

Mr Amadi did not include the crucial fact that Chris Bowler was in fact the successor to Pam Bowmaker and also first led The Charter School in south London to outstanding, as judged by Ofsted.

I worked alongside Mr Bowler and enjoyed his excellent leadership and humour. It was a privilege. I make this important point as such leaders in education are rare and precious and should be acknowledged and celebrated.
