I was astonished to read the managing director of Education Bradford claims that 30 schools were already “causing concern” in August 2001 (TES, January 7). This is both untrue and misleading, especially given his argument about the effectiveness of Education Bradford. For the record, just three primary schools were identified as having serious weaknesses via Ofsted inspections at that time.
