A schoolnbsp;that spent pound;140,000 on supply cover with the Spring Teaching Agency thus qualified for a video projector -
Hire staff and win a toaster. TES 8th June. How honourable of Mr Taylor, marketing director of Spring, to declare: “This is not intended to make any more money (for Spring) but to reward them (the school) for what they spent.”
Laugh - I have only just stopped!
A more prudent school policy which avoided being ripped off by agencies, which charge at least pound;70 - pound;80 a day over and above the teacher’s salary, would have enabled the school to have purchased six video-projectors or several computers.
The profits made by agencies are obscene, undeserved, and require governmental legislation - immediately.
