Letters Extra : Disability discrimination

Your recent article on poor practice by the General Teaching Council struck a chord.

I saw a recentnbsp;advert by the Department for Work amp; Pensionsnbsp;onnbsp;Disability Discriminationnbsp;(includingnbsp;visual impairment). There were similar problems to those described in the GTC ‘Teaching’ magazine. The shades of brown, including writing, made it inaccessible for many people. One assumes there are contact numbers for further information somewhere, if you’re lucky enough to decipher it.

What a waste of public money. GTC and DWP, please get advice from the Disability Rights Commission, or clear print guidelines from the RNIB in future.
