Inbsp;entirely agree with Peter Stammers ( TES 20.02.04 ) concerning the Ofsted inspectorate.
The inspectorate should consist of seconded teachers familiar with modern practice, not people who retired early or “escaped” the profession.
Most people will accept criticism from people they recognise as expert. To ensure this happens in schools, inspectors should be requested to give master classes to the staff in “failing” schools to show them where they went wrong!
