Perhaps Shelley Gill’s 10-year-old daughter “understands fully the implications of passing or failing” her 11-plus because her mother has told her about them. Kent may have selective education but no one forces any child to sit the 11-plus - it is parental choice.
Similarly, what parent allows their child to be ‘cramming’ for key stage 2 tests? Let’s not forget that it is the school that is being judged with SATS, not the student.
