Letters - ‘Worst parents’ are a part of our cultural life

Amanda Bland’s letter expressing disappointment at TES Magazine’s “My Worst Parent” stories misses the point (November 19). Far from undermining the notion of partnership, the column is a genuine reflection of staffroom anecdotes from the cultural life of many schools.

I see nothing negative or patronising about such views. I have researched parental perceptions of primary schools in the past and find the articles not only humorous but frequently touching. They may, indeed, enlighten as much as they entertain.

Tim Peskett, Ex-primary head and contributor to My Worst Parent.
