A-levels 'fail to prepare for uni'

Four out of 10 students believe A-levels did not prepare them for the demands of a university degree, says the Association of Colleges. The AoC's poll of 1,027 undergraduates also found that two thirds felt their school's advice on careers and courses had been poor, and 55 per cent thought they were steered towards courses which the school did well, rather than those that met their needs.
