Licence denies rights

The Government’s plan to introduce a “licence to teach” in England will breach teachers’ human rights, a committee of MPs and Lords has said. In its report, the Joint Committee on Human Rights said the removal of the licence would constitute a “material right” being taken away, and the Westminster Government had not struck the right balance between the rights of the teacher and those of the pupil.
