EDS, one of the sponsors of the Jaguar FI in Schools CADCAM Challenge is giving away its CAD software Solid Edge to all schools that register for the challenge. The site licence for the software usually costs pound;3,000 and schools will be able to use it at no cost to produce a virtual prototype of their design for the competition. The F1 in Schools Challenge invites schools to design a model CO2-powered F1 car using a CAD package to produce the model. The closing date for FI in Schools is the end of July.
