Teenagers go to their mothers first for careers advice but few want to follow in their parents’ footsteps. Sixty per cent of 11 to 18-year-olds said they were most influenced by their mums.
Dads were the next most important source for 53 per cent of the 523 youngsters interviewed by pollsters NOP.
