The National Literacy Trust launched its new website earlier this week, offering news, debate, campaign information, research and policy information, a wiki of good literacy practice, and free resources.
A competition, which asked for suggestions for the first blog by director Jonathan Douglas, revealed that the top literacy issues are the impact of new technologies, such as Facebook and e-books, and the importance of family literacy. The winning entry suggested it look at how to make literacy fun and exciting in an age of assessment and accountability.
