Lovers of walking and Thomas Hardy’s novels can now follow a circular literary walk of over 200 miles in Dorset - or selected sections - by referring to The Hardy Way: a 19th-century pilgrimage published by Dorset Publishing Company. Its author Margaret Marande has organised her material so the relevant literary descriptions and information are printed opposite the route guide, obviating the need to flip constantly from one section of the book to another. Pounds 9.95 from Westcountry Books, Lower Moor Way, Tiverton, Devon.
