Schools affected in what will be the fourth stage of primary reorganisation in Glasgow will begin to close at the end of June in a two-year programme.

Their replacements are scheduled to open in phases from 2008 with the last in place by 2010.

The council’s full pre-12 strategy involves a total investment of pound;261 million and will see 37 new schools being built. By the end of the process in 2010, the number of primary schools in Glasgow will have fallen from 203 in 2001 to 150.
