In the Jotter of October 25, an item regarding postponement of a Court of Session hearing on the proposed closure of St Paul’s primary, Hurlford, stated that the judge concerned, Lord MacLean, was an “absentee” and “proved elusive”. This was not so: he was ready to proceed, but a decision was taken by the parties to the case to abort the diet and fix a new one. We apologise for the embarrassment caused.
