Loss of summer hols the last straw

The only perk a teacher has is the relatively long summer break. Even then, as true professionals, staff prepare work in readiness for the new term during this period.

Removing this freedom and requiring teachers to be in school during the breaks would be yet another blow to morale and would do nothing for the current recruitment crisis.
