Lothian and Borders Police has charged a 15-year-old in connection with the alleged assault and a breach of the peace. A report has been sent to the children’s panel, although the matter may be referred to the procurator fiscal in the light of the seriousness of the charges. The police said its inquiries were continuing into the actions of another youth who filmed the incident.
