Medieval History Magazine, a new monthly glossy magazine, produced by The Royal Armouries, the Leeds-based museum of arms and armour, is an English version of Histoire Medievale, published in France by Harnois Editions SARL. Young historians are working on archaeological digs, creating plays that re-enact the past, re-building important local landmarks, recording social, ecological and historical history and creating exhibitions thanks to grants worth between pound;3,000 and pound;25,000 offered through the Local Heritage Initiative.
